Students must possess a valid BC drivers’ licence of any class
Students will undergo quizzes during their course to confirm their understanding. Assessment students will complete an “Air Brake Assessment” to prove they can complete an air brake pre-trip inspection. All Air Brake students will be provided with documentation required to take the Air Brake Knowledge Test at ICBC. Students must achieve 80% to pass.
Successful completion of the Air Brake Theory Only course is a prerequisite to register for Taylor Pro Colleges’ Class 2 or 3 training programs. These students will undergo their Air Brake Assessment when they complete their pre-trip inspection during their road test at ICBC.
The successful completion of the Air Brake Theory with Assessment course, pass of their air brake assessment and subsequent 80% passing grade on the air brake knowledge test at ICBC will allow Air Brake Theory with Assessment students to operate a vehicle with air brakes within their existing class of license.
