How long has Taylor Pro College been providing training programs?
We started in 2003 and have been in this business for 20 years now. Our students are usually based in Okanagan Valley but some come from far and wide since our training programs can be applied in Canada and even globally.

Business and Human Studies Programs
These are all diploma programs intended for candidates who want to establish a career in business and office administration, tourism and hospitality, or social work.

We have six diploma programs for you from which to choose:

Addictions and Community Support Worker Diploma  – This program provides the needed skills and training required to establish a career in social services and community support with a focus on strategically addressing addictions.

Social Services Support Diploma – The courses provided are suitable for people who want to work in the community and social services sector.

Business Administration Diploma – Candidates who want to sharpen their knowledge and skills in various business practices will broaden their employment opportunities by taking this program.

Office Administration Diploma – Candidates who are looking to develop their knowledge and skills in handling administrative and organizational duties will benefit much from taking this program.

Hospitality Management Diploma – This program provides candidates with a solid conceptual and practical foundation in the hospitality and tourism sector.

Hospitality Administration – This program offers comprehensive courses for candidates looking to establish a career in the tourism and hospitality industry.

All programs require students to successfully complete the practicum and get a final grade of at least 60%.

To become eligible for this program, please present the following requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or mature student status (19 years or older)
  • Successful completion of the college’s admissions test
  • Criminal record check
  • Immunization report
  • Meet minimum English language proficiency requirements
  • Complete ‘Student Declaration – Addictions and Community Support Worker Programs’ form

To become eligible for this program, please present the following requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or mature student status (19 years or older)
  • Successful completion of the college’s admissions test
  • Criminal record check
  • Immunization report
  • Meet minimum English language proficiency requirements

Transportation and Trades Programs

To date, we offer Transportation and Trades programs, which include Driver Training, Employer Training, and Instructor Training to suit your particular needs. For your reading convenience, we have organized the information on a per program and per category basis.

Yes. You should have the following equipment ready for your training sessions: rain gear/light gage, work clothing for outdoors, coveralls, and gloves.

No. We train both experienced and inexperienced drivers, regardless of whether or not they are planning to pursue a career in professional driving. We have two categories under our Driver Training Programs: New Driver Training and Commercial Driver Training Program. Under the second category, we have these courses: 
 
  • B.C. Class 1 Mandatory Entry-Level Training (MELT) Program
  • Class Two Driver Program
  • Class Three Driver Program
  • Class Four (Restricted or Unrestricted)

All students will receive a course completion card or certificate verifying their attendance in training.

Students who successfully pass their ICBC Road Test will receive a BC Drivers’ License of the class taken and a Certificate of Completion.

Graduated Licensing Program, (class 5/7) students may qualify for a shortened timeframe from ICBC to upgrade to their full class 5 license.

The courses we offer in all of our training comply with the regulations of the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC).

Our Trades Programs are workplace-training solutions. They provide employers the opportunity to empower their employees by enrolling them in industry-focused training courses that develop skills for enhanced productivity and competency.

Aside from combining theoretical learning with practical applications, our training programs are:

  • Site-specific
  • Aligned with employee job duties and tasks
  • Tailored to fit your company’s work environment
  • Facilitated by industry-experienced instructors
  • Features an up-to-date curriculum
  • Complies with Federal and Provincial guidelines and legislations

Our Trades Programs are as follows:

Commercial Driving: This is suitable for candidates who want a refresher course for their license, require an endorsement on their license, and desire to work as a professional driver, or want to learn to drive safely under all circumstances.

Our Instructor Training programs are intended for candidates who want to become competent and confident instructors. Our ICBC-certified instructors deliver comprehensive training focused on specific key areas.
