Daily Life Information

i) Transportation

  • Public Transit (TransLink): Reliable service across Metro Vancouver by bus, SkyTrain, and SeaBus. Students can use the Compass Card for easy payment. TransLink Trip Planner
  • Cycling and Walking: Vancouver is known for safe cycling lanes and pedestrian pathways.

ii) Banking

  • Student Accounts: Major banks (RBC, TD, BMO, Scotiabank, CIBC) offer no-fee student accounts and newcomer packages.
  • Required Documents: Passport, study permit, Taylor Pro College enrollment letter, and sometimes proof of address.
  • International Transfers: Available through banks or trusted services like Wise and Remitly.
  • ATM/Online Access: 24/7 banking through ATMs, mobile apps, and online platforms.
