Terms of Use
1. DEFINITIONS
In these Terms, capitalized terms have the meanings set out below:
- “Applicant” means a person who submits an Application through the Website.
- “Application” means an application for admission, enrolment, or registration to a Program submitted through the Website.
- “Booking” means a reservation made through the Website for a driver training lesson, road test, assessment, appointment, or other scheduled session.
- “Content” means all text, graphics, images, audio, video, software, code, course materials, and other materials made available on or through the Website.
- “Enrolment Contract” means a written student enrolment and registration contract entered into between Taylor Pro College and a student in respect of a Program, in the form prescribed under the Private Training Act (British Columbia) or under applicable RoadSafetyBC / ICBC requirements, as the case may be.
- “Fees” means tuition, application fees, lesson fees, road test fees, and other charges payable in respect of a Program or Booking, as set out on the Website or in the applicable Enrolment Contract.
- “Institutional Policies” means the policies published from time to time by Taylor Pro College, as further described in Section 4.
- “Program” means any program, course, lesson package, micro-credential, instructor training, endorsement course, or other educational offering provided by Taylor Pro College, including programs offered through the School of Business and Human Studies and the School of Transportation and Trades.
- “Schools” means, collectively, the School of Business and Human Studies, the School of Construction, and the School of Transportation and Trades, each of which is operated by Taylor Pro College.
- “User Account” means an account created by a User to access certain Services, including online application submission and Booking.
2. ELIGIBILITY AND USER ACCOUNTS

2.2 Eligibility — Driver Training Programs
Driver training Programs offered by the School of Transportation and Trades have additional minimum-age and licensing requirements imposed by RoadSafetyBC, ICBC, and Taylor Pro College’s admissions policy, including (without limitation):
- A minimum age of 19 years for B.C. Class 1 Mandatory Entry-Level Training (MELT), Class 2, and Class 4 programs;
- A minimum age of 18 years for the commercial Class 3 program;
- possession of a valid learner’s licence for the class of drive;
- Production of a valid B.C. driver’s licence (Class 1–5) and a current driver’s abstract; and
- Where required, a medical certificate from a licensed physician certifying fitness to undertake training.
You acknowledge and agree that none of the foregoing requirements may be waived by Taylor Pro College or by you, and that any failure to meet such requirements will result in ineligibility for the relevant Program. Driver training Programs are subject to the additional terms set out in Sections 4 and 5 below.

5.5 Refunds — School of Transportation and Trades
Refunds of Fees in respect of Programs offered by the School of Transportation and Trades are governed by Taylor Pro College’s Withdrawal Policy and the refund schedule set out therein, which forms part of the Enrolment Contract. The Withdrawal Policy provides, in summary, that:
- if written notice of withdrawal is received less than seven (7) calendar days after the contract is made and before the commencement of the period of instruction, Taylor Pro College may retain the lesser of 10% of the total tuition and Fees or CAD $250.00;
- if written notice of withdrawal is received thirty (30) or more calendar days before commencement, Taylor Pro College may retain the lesser of 10% of total tuition and Fees or CAD $750.00;
- if written notice of withdrawal is received less than thirty (30) calendar days before commencement, Taylor Pro College may retain the lesser of 20% of total tuition and Fees or CAD $1,000.00;
- if a student withdraws or is dismissed after commencement and up to 10% of the hours of instruction have been provided, Taylor Pro College may retain 30% of the tuition;
- if a student withdraws or is dismissed after 10% but before 30% of the hours of instruction have been provided, Taylor Pro College may retain 50% of the tuition;
- if a student withdraws or is dismissed after 30% of the hours of instruction have been provided, no refund is required;
- 100% of as-yet to be received pre-paid consumables are refundable; and
- refunds owing to students must be paid within thirty (30) calendar days of the institution receiving written notification of withdrawal and required supporting documentation, or within thirty (30) calendar days of an institution’s written notice of dismissal.

6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

You shall not, and shall not permit any third party to:
- Reproduce, distribute, publicly display, publicly perform, modify, adapt, translate, create derivative works of, or otherwise exploit any Content, except as expressly permitted by these Terms;
- Use any Content for any commercial purpose, including the operation of any competing or commercial educational, driver training, or instructor training service;
- Remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices on the Content;
- Use any data mining, robots, scraping tools, or similar data-gathering and extraction methods on the Website;
- Use the TPC Marks in any manner that is likely to cause confusion, dilute the marks, or imply endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation without our prior written consent; or
- Train, fine-tune, or otherwise input the Content into any machine learning or generative artificial intelligence system without our prior written consent.

7. ACCEPTABLE USE
You agree not to use the Website or Services in any manner that:
- Violates any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right, including any privacy, intellectual property, or anti-spam law;
- Is fraudulent, deceptive, defamatory, harassing, threatening, obscene, hateful, or otherwise objectionable;
- Impersonates any person or entity or misrepresents your affiliation with any person or entity, including any misrepresentation of identity, age, driver licensing status, or driver abstract;
- Introduces any virus, worm, trojan horse, malware, or other malicious code, or attempts to circumvent, disable, or interfere with security or access controls;
- Imposes an unreasonable load on, or otherwise interferes with the proper working of, the Website or any associated networks or infrastructure; or
- Attempts to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Website, related systems, or other Users’ accounts.
